Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  3. Remove the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  4. Remove the generator bracket. Refer to Generator Bracket Replacement .
  5. Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  6. Object Number: 1803724  Size: SH
  7. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose (2) from the power steering reservoir (3).

  8. Object Number: 1803725  Size: SH
  9. Remove the bolt (1) and the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose routing clip (2).

  10. Object Number: 1798675  Size: SH
  11. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose (2) from the power steering cooler pipe/hose (3).
  12. Remove the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 1798675  Size: SH
  3. Compress the clamp (1) and connect the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose (2) to the power steering cooler pipe/hose (3).

  4. Object Number: 1803724  Size: SH
  5. Compress the clamp (1) and connect the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose (2) to the power steering reservoir (3).
  6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1803725  Size: SH
  7. Position the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose routing clip (2) and install the bolt (1).
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the power steering pump inlet routing clip bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  9. Install the right front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Remove the generator bracket. Refer to Generator Bracket Replacement .
  12. Install the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  13. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  14. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  15. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
