Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1646199 Size: SH
  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  3. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve pipe bolt (3) and carefully pull the pipe assembly back.
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  5. Unscrew the EGR valve pipe assembly nut from the exhaust manifold.
  6. Remove the EGR pipe (2).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1646199 Size: SH
  1. Install the EGR valve pipe (2) to the exhaust manifold.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  2. Lower the vehicle.
  3. Install the EGR pipe bolt (3) to the EGR valve.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  4. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  5. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
