Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 2006 🢒 Rendezvous - FWD 🢒 Body 🢒 Seats 🢒 Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Heater Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the back from the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement .
  3. Remove the headrest. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  4. Remove the armrest. Refer to Front Seat Armrest Replacement .

  5. Separate the J-hook retainer at the bottom of the seat back cover.

    6. Object Number: 627456 Size: SH
  6. Position the cover end flaps for access.
  7. Remove the side air bag from the front seat. Refer to one of the following procedures:
    8. •  Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - Right Side
    •  Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - Left Side

  8. Separate the seat back cover from the front retainer at the side impact airbag.

    9. Object Number: 627465 Size: SH
  9. Separate the seat back cover from the rear retainer at the side impact airbag.
  10. Separate the hook and the loop retainers securing the seat back cover to the pad.

    11. Object Number: 627460 Size: SH
  11. Remove the seat back cover by pulling the cover up and over the pad.

    12. Object Number: 627477 Size: SH
  12. Remove the hog rings which secures the cover to the pad.
  13. Remove the cover from the pad.
  14. If the cushion is damaged, replace the cushion.
  15. Remove the seat back heater element.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the seat back heater element.

    2. Object Number: 627478 Size: SH
  2. Install the front seat back cover. Align the marks on the cover and the pad.
  3. Install the hog rings from the cover to the pad.
  4. Install the cover over the pad while aligning the hook and the loop retainers.
  5. Install the hook and the loop retainers, securing the cover to the pad.

  6. Install the cover to the front retainer at the side impact airbag.

    7. Object Number: 627465 Size: SH
  7. Install the cover to the rear retainer at the side impact airbag.
  8. Install the side air bag to the front seat. Refer to one of the following procedures:
    9. •  Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - Right Side
    •  Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - Left Side

  9. Install and adjust the cover to the side air bag retainer, by pressing in and pulling down on the cover.

  10. Reposition the end flap to the seat back cover.

    11. Object Number: 627454 Size: SH
  11. Install the J-hook retainer at the bottom of the seat back cover.
  12. Install the back to the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Back Replacement .
  13. Install the headrest. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement .
  14. Install the armrest. Refer to Front Seat Armrest Replacement .
  15. Install the bucket seat. Refer to Bucket Seat Replacement .
