Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the mirror face. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Glass Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 826509  Size: SH
  4. Remove the mirror motor screws.

  5. Object Number: 826512  Size: SH
  6. Pull the mirror motor out from the mirror housing to gain access to the mirror motor electrical connectors.

  7. Object Number: 826511  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the mirror motor electrical connectors.
  9. Remove the mirror motor from the mirror housing.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the mirror motor to the mirror housing.

  2. Object Number: 826511  Size: SH
  3. Connect the mirror motor electrical connectors.

  4. Object Number: 826509  Size: SH
  5. Position the mirror motor into the mirror housing.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the mirror motor screws.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  9. Install the mirror face. Refer to Outside Rearview Mirror Glass Replacement .
  10. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  11. Inspect the mirror for proper operation.
