The driver information center (DIC) must be setup using the compass calibration and variance procedure. Refer to Electronic Compass Calibration .

If the instrument panel cluster (IPC) is replaced and the vehicle is not equipped with ABS, the following procedure must be performed:

1. Disconnect the battery and touch the battery cables together.
2. Remove all fuses marked ABS.
3. Install the new IPC.
4. Reconnect the battery cables.
5. Turn the ignition ON and allow the IPC to go through the relearn process.
6. Turn the ignition OFF and open the drivers door to cancel the retained accessory power.
7. Reinstall the ABS fuses, turn the ignition to RUN and verify the repair.
