Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Remove the inside handle rods from the front door inside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 624645 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the clip securing the outside handle rod to the front door lock.

    5. Object Number: 624652 Size: SH
  5. Remove the screws from the front door lock.

    6. Object Number: 624661 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the lock.

    7. Object Number: 624658 Size: SH
  7. Remove the lock with the inside handle rods attached to the lock through the access hole in the front door inner panel.

    8. Object Number: 624640 Size: SH
  8. Remove the inside handle rods from the lock.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 624640 Size: SH
  1. Install the inside handle rods to the lock.

    2. Object Number: 624658 Size: SH
  2. Install the lock in the position through the access hole in the front door inner panel.

    3. Object Number: 624661 Size: SH
  3. Connect the electrical connectors to the front door lock.

    4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the lock screws to the front door lock.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the lock screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the clip securing the outside handle rod to the front door lock.
  6. Install the door handle rods to the inside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  7. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  8. Install the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  9. Inspect the door lock system for the proper operation.
