Removal Procedure
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.

    2. Object Number: 1401467 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the purge line from the purge valve solenoid.

    3. Object Number: 1394073 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the purge valve solenoid electrical connector.

    4. Object Number: 1344143 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the purge line from the manifold side of the purge valve solenoid.

    5. Object Number: 1395512 Size: SH
  5. Remove the purge valve solenoid and bolt from the intake manifold.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1395512 Size: SH
  1. Install the purge valve solenoid to the intake manifold.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the purge solenoid bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  2. Connect the purge line to the manifold side of the purge valve solenoid.

    3. Object Number: 1394073 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the purge valve solenoid electrical connector.

    4. Object Number: 1401467 Size: SH
  4. Connect the purge line to the purge valve solenoid.
