Coolant Heater Cord Replacement RPO LY7

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1644475 Size: SH
  1. Remove the air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .
  2. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement .
  3. Remove the coolant heater cord (1) from the coolant heater.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Cut the tie straps (2) attaching the coolant heater cord to the transmission fill tube.

    6. Object Number: 1644186 Size: SH
  6. Cut the tie strap attaching the coolant heater cord to the diagonal brace.
  7. Remove the coolant heater cord.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1644186 Size: SH
  1. Position the coolant heater cord to the diagonal brace.
  2. Install a NEW tie strap attaching the coolant heater cord to the diagonal brace.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle.

    4. Object Number: 1644475 Size: SH
  4. connect the coolant heater cord (1) to the coolant heater.
  5. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement .
  6. Install NEW tie straps (2) attaching the coolant heater cord to the transmission fill tube.
  7. Install the air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1644188 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Disconnect the coolant heater cord (1) from the coolant heater.
  3. Remove the coolant heater cord clip (2) from the transaxle brace.
  4. Cut the tie strap (3) attaching the coolant heater cord to the engine harness.

    5. Object Number: 1644192 Size: SH
  5. Cut the tie strap (1) attaching the coolant heater cord to the engine harness.

    6. Object Number: 1644195 Size: SH
  6. Cut the tie straps (1) attaching the coolant heater cord to the engine harness.
  7. Lower the vehicle.

    8. Object Number: 1644186 Size: SH
  8. Cut the tie strap (1) attaching the coolant heater cord to the diagonal brace.
  9. Remove the coolant heater cord.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1644186 Size: SH
  1. Position the coolant heater cord onto the diagonal brace.
  2. Install a NEW tie strap (1) attaching the coolant heater cord to the diagonal brace.
  3. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.

    4. Object Number: 1644188 Size: SH
  4. Connect the coolant heater cord (1) to the coolant heater.
  5. Install the coolant heater cord clip (2) to the transaxle brace.
  6. Install a NEW tie strap (3) attaching the coolant heater cord to the engine harness.

    7. Object Number: 1644192 Size: SH
  7. Install a NEW tie strap (1) attaching the coolant heater cord to the engine harness.

    8. Object Number: 1644195 Size: SH
  8. Install NEW tie straps (1) attaching the coolant heater cord to the engine harness.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
