J 21882 Oil Suction Pipe Installer


    Object Number: 69942  Size: SH
  1. Remove the intake manifold coolant pipe bolt, if required.
  2. Remove the intake manifold coolant pipe, if required.

  3. Object Number: 843900  Size: SH
  4. Clean the intake manifold gasket mating surfaces using GM P/N 12346139 (Canadian P/N 10953463) or equivalent.
  5. Clean the fuel injector bores.
  6. Inspect the intake manifold for damage.
  7. Repair or replace the intake manifold as necessary.

  8. Object Number: 69939  Size: SH
  9. Apply sealant GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) or equivalent to the end of the intake manifold coolant pipe, if required.
  10. Install the intake manifold coolant pipe using J 21882 .
  11. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  12. Install the intake manifold coolant pipe bolt.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the intake manifold coolant pipe bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
