Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Remove the power steering pressure hose bracket nut and reposition as necessary, in order to gain access. Refer to Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement in Power Steering System.

  3. Object Number: 1394032  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector (1).

  5. Object Number: 1395983  Size: SH
  6. Remove the CMP sensor bolt.
  7. Remove the CMP sensor.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1395983  Size: SH
  1. Install the CMP sensor.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the CMP sensor bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the CMP sensor bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector (1).
  6. Install the power steering pressure hose as necessary. Refer to Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement in Power Steering System.
