Voltage is applied through circuit 2540 at all times to the following components:

    • The cigar lighter
    • The accessory power receptacle
    • The power drop connector

This voltage is applied through the CIGAR LTR fuse.

The cigar lighter contains a heating element. When the heating element is pushed in, the circuit is completed to ground through circuit 1450. The cigar lighter begins to heat. When the element is sufficiently heated, the cigar lighter opens the circuit. The accessory power receptacle will accept the accessory plug when the plug is pushed in. The receptacle then allows the circuit to ground through circuit 1450. The circuit will be maintained until the accessory plug is pulled out of the accessory power receptacle.

Voltage is also applied to the power drop connector through the POWER DROP fuse when the ignition switch is in the ACCY or RUN position. Power is also supplied to the power drop connector at all times through the CIGAR LTR, DATA LINK fuse. The power drop connector can be used for a more permanent connection of an accessory. Ground will also be applied to the accessory through circuit 1450.
