Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the case side cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 773751  Size: SH
  3. Remove the end of the wiring harness assembly (2) with fluid temperature sensor (1) from the retaining clip.
  4. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the fluid temperature sensor (1).
  5. Remove the fluid temperature sensor (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 773751  Size: SH
  1. Connect the wiring harness connector to the fluid temperature sensor (1).
  2. Install the wiring harness (2) and fluid temperature sensor (1) into the retaining clip.
  3. Install the case side cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement .
  4. Fill the transaxle to the proper level. Refer to Fluid Capacity Specifications .
  5. Inspect the transaxle fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check .
  6. Inspect for fluid leaks.
  7. Important: It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset.

    Resetting the TAP values using a scan tool will erase all learned values in all cells. As a result, The ECM, PCM or TCM will need to relearn TAP values. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values are learned.

  8. Reset the TAP values. Refer to Transmission Adaptive Functions .
