Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 500971  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the hog ring (3) from the seat cushion trim (2) covering the retaining nuts to the center armrest.
  3. Remove the 4 retaining nuts (1) securing the center armrest to the seat assembly.
  4. Remove the center armrest assembly.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the center armrest to the seat assembly.
  2. Install the 4 nuts (1) in order to secure the center armrest to the seat.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Tighten the retaining nuts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the 4 retaining nuts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install a new hog ring (3) to secure the seat trim (2) in order to cover the retaining nuts.
  7. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement .
