Test Description

The number(s) below refer to the step number(s) on the diagnostic table.

Important: Make sure that the passenger window lockout option is selected as ON in the vehicle owner customizing menu.

If the window lockout selection is OFF, set it to ON and verify that the fault is still present.

  1. This step determines if the DDM recognizes the lockout switch input.

  2. This step determines if the indicator is operating properly.

This test assumes that all DTCs have been diagnosed.

Did you perform the Door Systems Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition leaving the engine OFF.
  3. Observe the Window Lockout Sw. parameter in the Driver Door Module data display, Inputs data, using the scan tool.
  4. Activate the power window lockout switch to both ON and OFF.

Does the parameter change to ON and OFF?

Go to Step 3

Observe the lockout indicator while operating the lockout switch.

Does the indicator cycle when the switch cycles?

Go to Step 4

Replace the DDM. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement - Front .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 6

Replace the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). Refer to Front Door Switch Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
