  1. With the keyless entry transmitter, attempt to operate the panic function.
  2. Observe the operation of the following functions:
  3. • Courtesy lamps ON
    • Head lamps flash ON and OFF
    • Horns sound ON and OFF
    • Park lamps flash ON and ON

Do all of the functions operate?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Do any of the panic functions operate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Keyless Entry System Inoperative

Did the headlamps operate properly?

Go to Step 5

Did the park lamps operate properly?

Go to Step 6

Did the courtesy lamps operate properly?

Operate the headlamps from the headlamp switch.

Do the headlamps operate properly?

Operate the horns from the horn pad.

Do the horns operate properly?

Test the headlamp alarm signal circuit for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the horn relay control circuit of the RFA module for an a open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the RFA module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the RFA module. Refer to RFA Module Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?
