1. Connect a test lamp between a courtesy lamp power feed circuit and a good ground.
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
3. Turn ON the courtesy lamp switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Test the courtesy lamp controlled ground circuit for high resistance, short to power, or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Repair the open or high resistance in the courtesy lamp power feed circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

1. Install a scan tool.
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
3. With a scan tool observe the Inadvert. Power Output status.

Does the Inadvert. Power Output Status indicate ON?

Test the courtesy lamp power feed circuit for high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
