Test the turn signal switch power feed circuit for high resistance, short to ground, or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Connect a test lamp between the right turn signal input circuit at the turn signal switch and a good ground.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Move the turn signal lever to indicate a RIGHT turn.

Did the test lamp illuminate?

Test the turn signal/hazard flasher module power feed circuit for high resistance, short to ground, or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
