Important: The A/C pressure sensor is mounted on a Schrader-type valve. Recovering the refrigerant from the A/C system is not necessary to replace this sensor.

1. Disconnect the A/C pressure sensor electrical connector from the sensor.
2. Unscrew and remove the A/C pressure sensor.
3. Remove the A/C pressure sensor o-ring seal.

1. Lubricate the new A/C pressure sensor o-ring using 525 refrigerant oil.
2. Install the A/C pressure sensor o-ring seal to the A/C pressure sensor.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

3. Install the A/C pressure sensor.

Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

4. Connect the A/C pressure sensor electrical connector to the sensor.
