Drive Belt Tensioner Bracket Replacement L67

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the supercharger drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  3. Remove the fasteners attaching ignition coils to the drive belt tensioner bracket.
  4. Position the ignition coils aside.

  5. Object Number: 45487  Size: SH
  6. Remove the drive belt tensioner bracket bolt.
  7. Remove the drive belt tensioner bracket from the engine.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 45487  Size: SH
  1. Install the drive belt tensioner bracket to the engine.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the drive belt tensioner bracket bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  5. Position the ignition coils to the drive belt tensioner bracket.
  6. Install the fasteners attaching ignition coils to the drive belt tensioner bracket.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  8. Install the supercharger drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  9. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
