POOR AIR FLOW FROM SIDE WINDOW DEFROSTER DUCTS-SEAL DOOR DUCT

SUBJECT: LITTLE TO NO AIR FLOW FROM SIDE WINDOW DEFROSTER DUCTS (SEAL DOOR DUCT MATING SURFACE)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1991-93 BUICK "C" MODELS AND 1992-93 "H" MODELS

THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES AND REPLACES CORPORATE BULLETIN REFERENCE NUMBER 331212.** THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO CHANGE CANADIAN YEAR AND NUMBER FROM 93-0A-101 TO 93-1B-132

APPLICATION:

----------- 1991-93 Buick Park Avenue 1992-93 Buick LeSabre

CONDITION:

--------- Little to no air flow from side window defroster ducts in any heat or A/C mode.

CAUSE:

----- Air flow bleeding off between door pad and side defroster duct due to variation in mating surface.

CORRECTION:

---------- Remove - ------ 1. Door trim pad, refer to service manual procedure in Section 10-6.

2. Side window defroster duct.

3. Seal perimeter of defroster duct at all mating surfaces with RTV silicone.

Install -

1. Defroster duct to door pad.

Notice: If duct was stapled in place, install with screws, P/N 11515959, (3 screws required for each duct).

2. Door pad to door, refer to service manual procedure in Section 10-6.
