Trunk Opens When RVS Button Is Pressed

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

A customer may comment the trunk opens when pressing the remote vehicle start button on their keyless transmitter. The cause may be that the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) was programmed with the incorrect calibrations during a previous repair.

Program the RCDLR with the correct calibrations using service programming systems (SPS).

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
