  1. Connect a test lamp between the appropriate cigar lighter load circuit and a good ground.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Repair the open or high resistance in the appropriate cigar lighter load circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

Repair the open or high resistance in the appropriate cigar lighter ground circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs .

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. With a scan tool, observe the cigar relay parameter in the rear integration module data list.

Does the cigar relay parameter indicate ON?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Remove the cigar relay.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the cigar relay coil side feed circuit and a good ground.
  4. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Connect a test lamp between the cigar relay switch side feed circuit and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the cigar relay coil side feed circuit and cigar relay control circuit.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

  2. Install the cigar relay.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the cigar relay load circuit at the cigar relay and a good ground.
