The BRAKE indicator is controlled by the following components on circuit 33 (TAN/WHT):

    • When the ignition switch is turned from the RUN to START positions, the park brake is applied (switch closes), or if the brake fluid level is low (brake fluid level switch closes). All these actions results in a low (ground) condition existing on the following:
       - (Buick w/UB3) at the remote indicator bank terminal 18 (CKT 33, TAN/WHT).
       - (Buick w/U23) at the instrument cluster terminal A2 (CKT 33, TAN/WHT).
       - (Oldsmobile) at the instrument cluster C1 terminal C13 (CKT 33, TAN/WHT).
       - (Pontiac w/UB3) at the instrument cluster terminal A5 (CKT 33, TAN/WHT).
       - (Pontiac w/U50/U2F) at the instrument cluster C1 terminal A10 (CKT 33, TAN/WHT).
    • A chime sounds, when the body control module (MALL) detects this condition at C2 terminal D3 (CKT 33, TAN/WHT) and a VSS input at C2 terminal C15 (PNK).
