REMOVAL OF PROTECTIVE PLASTIC FROM INTERIOR TRIM

VEHICLES AFFECTED: ALL 1989 MODELS

Comments have been received concerning razor blade damage to leather/vinyl steering wheels and other interior trim. Apparently, some dealership new car make ready departments use razor blades or other sharp instruments to remove the protective plastic covering that assembly plants install on leather/vinyl steering wheels, seats, and other interior trim.

In order to prevent accidental damage from occurring, we do not recommend using sharp instruments to remove this protective plastic covering.
