TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL REVISED FILLER TUBE

BEGINNING IN SEPTEMBER OF 1981, THE BUICK BUILT THM 350C (MX2 AND MX5) TRANSMISSIONS WERE ASSEMBLED WITH A NEW AND LARGER OIL FILL TUBE. THE NEW OIL FILL TUBE (PART NO. 25512828) WILL ALLOW FOR AN ADDITIONAL .3 LITRE OF TRANSMISSION OIL TO BE ADDED TO THE TRANSMISSION DURING THE INITIAL FACTORY FILL. TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL CHECKING PROCEDURES FOR SERVICE REMAIN THE SAME. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT ALL 350C TRANSMISSIONS, INCLUDING PAST MODELS, BE SERVICED WITH THE NEW FILLER TUBE WHENEVER REPLACEMENT IS REQUIRED.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
