RECOMMENDED RTV SEALANTS P/N'S AND APPLICATIONS

MODELS AFFECTED: ALL MODELS EQUIPPED WITH OXYGEN SENSORS

Incorrect usage of RTV sealants may damage other vehicle commponents such as oxygen sensors. The correct application is listed in the GMWDD parts book. The correct sealants to use on engines in Buicks are part numbers 1052914 or 1052917 (black) or part number 1052915 (clear). Red RTV sealant , part number 1052366 is for use on rear axle differential covers only. See the usage chart below for a description of General Motors service approved RTV silicone sealants.
