Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement L26

Tools Required

    • J 25033-C Pulley Installer
    • J 25034-C Pulley Remover

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the power steering pump from the engine for clearance. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement.

  2. Object Number: 293353  Size: SH
  3. Using J 25034-C remove the power steering pump pulley from the power steering pump.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 293353  Size: SH
  1. Using J 25033-C install the power steering pump pulley to the power steering pump.

  2. Object Number: 254752  Size: SH

    Important: 

       • Never use a hammer to install the power steering pulley.
       • The face of the power steering pulley hub must be flush to within 0.25 mm (0.010 in) with the end of the power steering pump driveshaft.

  3. Install the power steering pump to the engine. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement.
  4. Fill the power steering system. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid.
  5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
  6. Inspect the power steering system for leaks. Refer to Power Steering Fluid Leaks.

Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement LS4

Tools Required

    • J 25033-C Pulley Installer
    • J 25034-C Pulley Remover

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 649303  Size: SH
  1. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory.
  2. Using the J 25034-C , remove the pulley from the pump.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 643361  Size: SH
  1. Using the J 25033-C , install the pulley to the pump.

  2. Object Number: 254752  Size: SH

    Important: 

       • Never use a hammer to install the power steering pulley.
       • The face of the power steering pulley hub must be flush to within 0.25 mm (0.010 in) with the end of the power steering pump driveshaft.

  3. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory.
