DEFINITION: The Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) system does not disarm when the vehicle doors or trunk are unlocked with the key.

Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

  1. Remove the key from the ignition.
  2. Lock the vehicle doors with the remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter.
  3. Close all doors and allow the CTD System to arm.
  4. Use the key to unlock the vehicle, holding the key cylinder in the unlock position for 5 seconds.

Do all vehicle doors unlock?

Go to Step 3

Does the CTD System disarm when the doors are unlocked?

Inspect for loose or poor connections at the harness connector of the body control module (BCM). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs .

Replace the BCM. Refer to Control Module References for replacement, setup, and programming.
