Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the lower air deflector fog lamp access panels.

  3. Object Number: 1396358  Size: SH
  4. Remove the lower air deflector retainers (1).
  5. Remove the lower air deflector center retainer (2).
  6. Remove the lower air deflector bolts (3).
  7. Remove the lower air deflector screws (4).
  8. Remove the right and left side lower front fender liner screws from the lower air deflector.
  9. Remove the lower air deflector.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the lower air deflector.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the lower air deflector bolts (3).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Install the lower air deflector center retainer (2).
  6. Install the lower air deflector retainers (1).
  7. Install the lower air deflector screws (4).
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  9. Install the right and left side lower front fender liner screws to the lower air deflector.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  11. Lower the vehicle.
