Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 2005 🢒 LaCrosse 🢒 Body 🢒 Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console 🢒 Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel lower trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

    2. Object Number: 1397121 Size: SH
  2. Remove the HVAC control assembly mounting screws (1).

    3. Object Number: 1397027 Size: SH

    Important: Retaining clips hold the HVAC control assembly in place.

  3. Pull the HVAC control assembly rearward from the instrument panel.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors form the HVAC control assembly.
  5. Remove the HVAC control assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 410369 Size: SH

    Important: The key should be in the off position when connecting the electrical connectors to ensure proper calibration.

  1. Connect the electrical connectors to the HVAC control assembly.

    2. Object Number: 1397027 Size: SH
  2. Install the HVAC control assembly.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the HVAC control assembly mounting screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the instrument panel lower trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Plate Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

    5. Important: Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control assembly while the HVAC control assembly is calibrating. If interrupted improper HVAC performance will result.

  5. Start the engine and run for 1 minute.
