    Important: Ensure that the crankshaft is in the stage one timing drive assembly position.

    Important: Some models use a second design inverted tooth timing drive system. The second design drive system can be used in place of the first design roller timing system but all of the following components must be changed to the second design:

       • Primary timing drive chain
       • Crankshaft sprocket
       • Intermediate drive shaft idler left and right

  1. Install the primary camshaft drive chain.

  2. Object Number: 1579320  Size: SH
  3. Wrap the primary camshaft drive chain around the large sprockets of each camshaft intermediate drive chain idler and the crankshaft sprocket.

  4. Object Number: 1579321  Size: SH
  5. The left camshaft intermediate drive chain idler timing mark (1) will align with a timing camshaft drive chain link (2).

  6. Object Number: 1579322  Size: SH
  7. The right camshaft intermediate drive chain idler timing mark (2) will align with a timing camshaft drive chain link (1).

  8. Object Number: 1579324  Size: SH
  9. The crankshaft sprocket timing mark (2) will align with a timing camshaft drive chain link (1).

  10. Object Number: 1579325  Size: SH
  11. Ensure all the timing marks (2, 3, 6) are properly aligned with the timing camshaft drive chain links (1, 4, 5).
