Backup Lamp Applique Replacement Acadia

1. Remove the liftgate interior trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement.
2. Disconnect the backup lamp and runing lamp electrical connectors.
3. Remove the screw (1) securing the lamp assembly bracket (2) to the rear auxiliary back up lamp assembly.
4. Remove the bracket.



5. Remove the auxiliary back up lamp assembly nuts (1).
6. Disconnect the backup lamp bulb socket (2) and bulb (3).



7. Pull the backup lamp assembly (2) from the outer liftgate filler panel.
8. Remove the lamp assembly gasket (1).

1. Position the backup lamp gasket (1) to the auxiliary back up lamp assembly (2).
2. Insert the backup lamp assembly into the holes in the outer liftgate filler panel.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




3. Install the nuts (1).

Tighten
5 N·m (44 lb in).

4. Install the back up lamp bulb (3) into the bulb socket (2).
5. Install the bulb assembly into the lamp.



6. Position the auxiliary backup lamp bracket (2) onto the backup lamp assembly.
7. Install the screw (1).

Tighten
2 N·m(18 lb in).

8. Connect the backup lamp and running lamp electrical connectors.
9. Install the interior liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement.
