Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 326097  Size: SH
  1. Using a plastic flat-bladed tool as an aid if necessary, pull the rearward edge of the LH instrument panel (IP) access opening cover outboard to release the retainers.
  2. Release the forward edge of the LH IP access opening cover from behind the hinge pillar and remove the cover.

  3. Object Number: 506429  Size: SH
  4. Remove the screws retaining the headlamp switch.

  5. Object Number: 468735  Size: SH
  6. Carefully pull the headlamp switch outboard away from the IP to access the electrical connector.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp switch.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 468735  Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the headlamp switch.
  2. Align the headlamp switch tabs to the IP and install the switch into position.

  3. Object Number: 506429  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the headlamp switch retaining screws.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the headlamp switch retaining screws to 1.8 N·m (16 lb in).

  6. Align and insert the forward edge of the LH IP access opening cover behind the hinge pillar.
  7. Align the IP access opening cover retainers to the slots on the IP trim pad and press firmly to secure.
