Tools Required

J 42059 Cigarette Lighter Socket Remover

1. Remove the accessory power receptacle fuse.
2. Remove the accessory power receptacle by placing one side of the "T" portion of J 42059 into the tab window. Angle the other side into the opposite receptacle opening. Pull the accessory power receptacle straight out.



3. If the standard method fails to remove the socket, use the following alternate method:

3.1.	Insert a small grinding tool with a cutoff wheel into the socket.

3.2.	Remove the plastic latches in the 3-mm (0.11-in) square windows.

3.3.	Use J 42059 as directed above to remove the socket.

4. Remove J 42059 from the power accessory port socket.



5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the accessory power receptacle.



6. Using your index finger, pull out the accessory power receptacle retainer.

1. Align the accessory power receptacle retainer to the slot in the console opening.



2. Install the retainer by pressing into place until fully seated.



3. Connect the electrical connector to the accessory power receptacle.



4. Install the accessory power receptacle into the front floor console. Press into place until fully seated.
5. Install the accessory power receptacle fuse.
6. Inspect the accessory power receptacle for proper operation.

Tools Required

J 42059 Cigarette Lighter Socket Remover

1. Remove the accessory power receptacle fuse.
2. Remove the accessory power receptacle by placing one side of the "T" portion of theJ 42059 into the receptacle opening. Angle the other side into the opposite opening. Pull the accessory power receptacle straight out.
3. Remove theJ 42059 .



4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the front floor console accessory power receptacle.



5. Remove the accessory power receptacle retainer.

1. Align the accessory power receptacle retainer to the slot in the console opening.



2. Install the retainer by pressing into place until fully seated.



3. Connect the electrical connector to the front floor console accessory power receptacle.



4. Install the accessory power receptacle to the front floor console. Press into place until fully seated.
5. Install the accessory power receptacle fuse.
6. Inspect the accessory power receptacle for proper operation.
