Removal Procedure

    Important: The new Mark II seat adjuster, used after VIN 2G4WS52J711252272 has no replaceable parts. It must be serviced as an assembly.

  1. Remove the front seat adjuster. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connectors from the seat adjuster motors (6,7,11).
  3. Remove the nut from the seat adjuster motor bracket.
  4. Disconnect the drive cables from the seat adjuster motors. Refer to Seat Horizontal and Vertical Drive Cable Replacement .
  5. Remove the seat adjuster motor from the front seat adjuster.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the seat adjuster motor to the front seat adjuster.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the nut to the seat adjuster motor bracket.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the seat adjuster motor nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the drive cables to the seat adjuster motors. Refer to Seat Horizontal and Vertical Drive Cable Replacement .
  6. Connect the electrical wiring harness connectors to the seat adjuster motors (6,7,11).
  7. Install the front seat adjuster. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Replacement .
